Hello families! My name is Sam and I am a qualified Early Childhood & Primary School teacher, with over 6 years experience as an Early Childhood Teacher and childcare centre director. I have experience supporting families from a diverse array of backgrounds including families with English as a second language and children with additional needs. I am a caring, happy, understanding, compassionate and dedicated individual who understands the difficulties families can face with finding genuine, secure, trustworthy and reliable care for their children. My belief of establishing strong relationships with children and families underpins my care and teaching philosophy. Upon a strong foundation I will not only be able to support children but also families as a whole, embedding families beliefs, morals and values into my interactions with children. I enjoy scaffolding learning into engaging play experiences with young children, embedding key learning areas and skills into areas of children's interests, supporting the acquisition of developmental milestones. During my interactions with children you will observe my calm demeanour, which is adaptable towards the individual needs and personality of each child. I also enjoy sharing in a child's energy to have a laugh and play, whilst also being there to give a warm hug and some reassurance when it is needed. I am currently looking for casual or part-time caring arrangements, whilst I complete my master's. I am happy to assist with meal preparation, light cleaning duties and also have a love of animals, so if your family includes some furry friends I would be more than happy to feed and walk them.
